Trimming Machine Operator is responsible for controlling and operating equipment to ensure precise cuts, proper depth, and smooth surfaces while following project specifications. Operators must also perform routine maintenance on machines, troubleshoot minor mechanical issues, and coordinate with other crew members for efficient workflow. Safety and adherence to job site regulations are critical aspects of the role.
Minimum Hiring Requirements:
1. 5-year construction experience preferred.
2. Must have experience with GPS machine controls. Topcon/Trimble/Etc.
3. Must have a valid Florida Driver’s License and Social Security Card.
4. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
5. Able to work safely within Company policy, OSHA and MSHA Standards.
6. Able to do any necessary labor work.
7. Able to work adjusted shifts. (AM or PM)
8. Able to work overtime.
9. Must be a Team Player and work well with others.
10. Ability to read and follow work instructions.
11. Basic understanding of measurements and quality requirements.
12. Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
13. Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
14. Ability to safely lift and handle materials within the company’s established requirements.
15. Loading and unloading equipment from vehicles used to transport it.
16. Inspecting equipment before and after use to ensure it’s in good working order.
17. Driving or controlling heavy equipment to complete tasks at the construction site.
18. Monitoring performance and adjusting settings as required to perform tasks correctly.
19. Tracking scheduled maintenance of equipment and notifying their supervisor if maintenance is past due.
20. Filling out performance records to report problems with equipment.
21. Cleaning equipment after use and disposing of any collected waste.
22. Completing minor repair work as needed.
23. Be permitted to work in the United States. (per Federal Law)

Performance Expectations
The Trimming Operator is expected to consistently produce quality products, maintain a safe work environment, meet production targets, properly operate and care for equipment, and promptly communicate production or quality concerns.
Key Machine Qualifications
· Adjustable Depth Control: Automated or manual gauges (like laser-leveling systems) to maintain exact cutting depths from shallow surface profiling to full-depth reclamation.
· Conveyor & Loading System: A front- or rear- discharge belt system capable of continuously loading crushed limerock into haul trucks.
