Job Position: In Shop - Dump Truck / Heavy Equipment Mechanic

 Responsibilities:

1. Perform maintenance and repairs such as tune-ups, brakes, oil changes, air leaks, and more.
2. Perform inspections and complete necessary repairs on Dump Trucks / Heavy Equipment in the shop.
3. Inspect and fix Lowboy / Landoll trailers.
4. Cleans the shop and returns tools to the proper location.
5. Inspects tools and equipment to ensure they are in working order.
6. Performs other related duties as assigned.

 Required Skills/Abilities:

1. Knowledge of vehicle repair, must be familiar with Mack, International, Peterbilt, KW trucks and repairs.
2. Knowledge of CAT, John Deere, Komatsu would be a plus
3. Experience with welding would be a plus
4. Experience with hydraulics and general repairs
5. Excellent mechanical skills.
6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
7. Ability to read service and repair manuals.
8. Ability to complete assigned tasks in a timely fashion.
9. Bilingual Preferred but not Mandatory.
10. Personal Hand Tools/Box Required.
11. Small engine repair would be ideal

Education and Experience:

1. High school diploma or equivalent required.
2. Related experience preferred.
3. Valid Driver’s License

Physical Requirements:

1. Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat to perform repairs and inspections.
2. Must be able to work safely in a noisy area with many odors present.
3. Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time.
