Job Position: Heavy Equipment / Small Engines Mechanic

Full Time / Part Time options available

 Responsibilities:

1. Perform maintenance and repairs such as oil changes, spark plugs, filters on key items such as; vibratory plate tampers, 3” Trash/Water Pumps, generators and more
2. Perform inspections and complete necessary repairs out in the field, and in our shop
3. Cleans the shop and returns tools to the proper location.
4. Inspects tools and equipment to ensure they are in working order.
5. Performs other related duties as assigned.

 Required Skills/Abilities:

1. Knowledge of general equipment repair is a must; hydraulics, alternators, fuel lines, hoses, etc.
2. Knowledge of CAT, John Deere, Komatsu is preferred.
3. Knowledge of Wacker/Bomag Small Engines
4. Experience with welding would be a plus
5. Experience with pickup trucks, Ford / Chevy, doing maintenance/repairs
6. Excellent mechanical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
7. Ability to read service and repair manuals, with the ability to read parts diagrams
8. Ability to complete assigned tasks in a timely fashion.
9. Bilingual Preferred but not Mandatory.
10. Personal Hand Tools/Box Required.
11. Small engine repair would be ideal

Education and Experience:

1. High school diploma or equivalent required.
2. Related experience preferred.
3. Valid Driver’s License

Physical Requirements:

1. Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat to perform repairs and inspections.
2. Must be able to work safely in a noisy area with many odors present.
3. Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time.
