Earthwork Foreman

Minimum Hiring Requirements:

 

  1. Minimum of 5 years overseeing multi-phase earthwork projects.
  2. Must have a valid Florida Driver License and Social Security Card.
  3. Applicants must also provide three current references, and previous work history information.
  4. Oversee/maintain job site safety per OSHA standards – OSHA certificate a plus.
  5. Able to work adjusted shifts. (AM or PM)
  6. Able to work overtime.
  7. Earthwork Foreman must have knowledge and experience in all phases of earthwork services.
  8. Manage and perform mass grading and excavation, subgrade preparation, road, and parking lot construction.
  9. Must be able to read plans & Shop Drawings.
  10. Calculate & shoot all elevations as required. TBM provided.
  11. Have good communication skills & Leadership skills.
  12. Must be able to do detailed material take-offs.
  13. Pre-planning is a must.
  14. Coordinate construction activities on large earth moving projects.
  15. Inspect construction work as necessary and ensure compliance with quality requirements and standards.
  16. Be self-motivated and work productively. Motivate crews properly.
  17. Must be reliable and dependable.
  18. Examine/inspect field conditions and identify problems, inaccuracies, and cost saving measures that arise or that may be encountered. Take corrective actions as needed.
  19. Prior experience successfully managing mass earthwork and grading.
  20. Complete, compile, oversee and submit various paperwork related to safety, equipment, etc.
  21. Must be able to work in a safety-conscious manner.
  22. Develop a complete understanding of the contract plans and specifications, lay-out, installation and/or construction. Review with Superintendent at the start of and throughout the project.
  23. Supervise a minimum of 6 employees.
  24. All applicants will be subject to a criminal background check, motor vehicle report and a pre-employment drug screening.
  25. Be Permitted to work in the United States. (per Federal Law)
